Whitman-Hanson Regional School District

Guidelines for 2024-25 School Year

The Whitman-Hanson Regional School District School Committee, at its meeting on March 13, 2024, voted to participate in School Choice for the 2024-25 School year for Grades K-10 as well as any resident student that moves out of district, at the discretion of the Superintendent or Designee. The number of students admitted is based upon space available as determined by the school district.

Applications for School Choice may be obtained on the district website via the web at

The deadline for submitting an application is 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Students accepted by the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District will be notified via written confirmation by approximately May 28, 2024.  Parents must sign and return the letter of commitment to accept placement when notified by the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District no later than June 3, 2024


The following information is required with your application and due by May 16, 2024:

  • Birth Certificate (copy)

  • Current Immunizations

  • Copy of current report card

  • Copy of last year's report card

  • I.E.P or 504 Plan (if applicable)

  • MCAS results

  • Discipline records**

Note: The Whitman-Hanson Regional School District does not provide transportation for school choice students.
