If you are requesting a bus stop change due to a change of your home address, you  must contact the District Registrar, Lori Wright, 781-618-8123

All bus change requests must be received by end of day August 22nd for review by our safety committee and to ensure processing for opening day.  All requests received after August 22nd will be reviewed after the start of the school year.  You will be notified either by email or phone once your request has been reviewed.



*  Parents are reminded, by District policy, stops must be safe for parents to walk to and wait with students, it is not a requirement for parents to be able to see students waiting for the bus from their house and thereby does not constitute a safety issue.

* Students will be assigned to one bus for the ride to and from school. Bus assignments are for five consecutive days. For example a student cannot take one bus to or from school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and another bus to or from school on Tuesday and Thursday.

* Kindergarten students are assigned to the nearest group stop.  Half-day kindergarten students  mid-day bus stops (am drop-off from school; pm pick-up for school)  will be at or as close to their homes as is reasonably possible when road conditions permit the bus to do so. District Guidelines state a parent or guardian must be present at pick-up and drop-off for Kindergarten students.

Please note:

Current bus routes have been designed to provide the most safe/efficient means of transporting children to school. Safety is a responsibility that is shared between the family and the school.  While the law requires the School Department to provide a defined level of transportation, it does not relieve parents/guardians of students from the responsibility of supervision until the student boards the bus in the morning.  Once a student boards the bus, he or she becomes the responsibility of the school district.  Such responsibility shall end when the student is delivered to the regular bus stop at the close of the school day.  Therefore, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to escort the student, if necessary, to and from the bus stop where there are no sidewalks, where sidewalks are only on one side, where the bus stop is on the opposite side of the street, and where there are traffic or other safety concerns. Not being able to see your child's bus stop from your home windows does not constitute a safety concern.

The District will review all safety change requests with our local police departments and administration.  You may be contacted to make an in person appointment with our review committee for stop change requests. Safety change requests may take up to 5 business days to process.

Please continue to use your current bus stop until notified.
