Process and Procedures for Reporting

Process and Procedures for reporting harassment, discrimination, bullying or concerns related to equity.

Whitman Hanson Regional School District (WHRSD) has a commitment to maintaining a workplace and educational environment where discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, languages, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy and pregnancy-related medical conditions are not tolerated.

There are three ways to report an incident of bullying, harassment or retaliation:

1. At Your School:

An incident of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or retaliation can be reported to a staff member or the principal of the school attended by any party involved in the incident(s). When a report is received the principal and other school personnel will investigate the report following the appropriate procedures outlined below.

2. By Phone or Email:

An incident of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or retaliation can be reported to the main offices of your or your child’s school.  When a report is received, the administrative assistant will contact the principal(s) of the school(s) involved. The principal and other school personnel will investigate the report following the procedures outlined in the documents below.

3. Anonymously:

An incident of bullying, harassment, discrimination or retaliation can be reported anonymously by calling 781-618-7086 and leaving a message. The report will be sent to the proper school and investigated but no disciplinary action can be taken solely as a result of an anonymous report.

It is the expectation of the WHRSD that all staff will report to their principal or the superintendent any instance of bullying or harassment in accordance with the three District procedures below:
