2025 Flyer

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to summer!

The staff of the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District is excited to offer a wonderful opportunity for students as they embark "on the road to success." We are pleased to announce the Summer Enrichment Program, which is designed for students in grades 5 through 12, providing a fun and engaging interdisciplinary experience.

This program will incorporate summer reading, academics, hands-on project-based learning, community service, social-emotional support, field trips, and athletic activities. These elements are aimed at fostering peer and staff relationships while helping students build skills that will support their academic, social, and personal growth.

We are thrilled to offer this FREE preparation program through a grant funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This program provides students with numerous opportunities that will aid them as they navigate middle and high school, including college and career preparation and job-seeking skills.

For elementary and middle school students in grades 5 through 8, the program will run from Monday, July 7, 2025, to Thursday, July 31, 2025, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Snack and lunch will be provided daily. Limited transportation may be available upon request.

For high school students, the program will offer 4 high school elective credits to those who successfully complete it. The schedule will be the same, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., July 7–July 31, 2025 at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Snack and lunch will be provided daily. Limited transportation may be available upon request.

We strongly encourage you to discuss this opportunity with your child and encourage their participation in this positive learning experience. To register, please use the links below by June 1, 2025. If you prefer a paper copy of the registration form or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call 781-618-7509 or email [email protected].

We look forward to supporting your student!

21st Century Community Learning Center After School Enrichment Program

The purpose of the federally funded 21st CCLC grant is to support the implementation of academically enriching additional learning time that occurs during out-of-school time. Programming contributes to deepening student learning during the school year and summer by combining content knowledge with interactive, relevant, and engaging learning experiences that emphasize the skills necessary to apply that knowledge successfully so that all students can be successful in school, empowered to make informed choices in life after high school, and prepared for college and careers.

We have after school programs at Whitman Hanson Regional High School, Whitman Middle School, and Hanson Middle School. Each program runs Monday through Thursday with a variety of clubs. Transportation is provided for those who need it.

Additionally we offer a Summer Program that expands learning during the summer housed at the High School for students in grades 5-12. Lunch and limited transportation will be provided. Check back in March for more information. Summer 2025 will run July 7-31!
