Congratulations to the Whitman-Hanson Robotics Club on their 1^st championship.

The Robotics Club won their first-ever championship in the VEX Oakmont Regional Competition on Wednesday, 5/23/12. The club entered two robots into the field of 25. One team was comprised of Joe Murad and Jason Cook and the other robot was controlled by Ed Fennessey and Marie Terrell. The teams finished in the preliminary rounds ranked 4^th and 7^th , respectively. The teams were placed in opposite brackets and ended up fighting their way to the finals to face off against each other. The Murad/ Cook team ended up winning the entire event, despite the Fennessey/ Terrell team playing very well and earning a well-deserved 2^nd place. Jason Thibodeau and Sharon Constaneau were invaluable as members of the “pit crew”. This will be the last event for Fennessey, Murad, Thibodeau and Cook as they are graduating next week. Their advisor, Mr. Rowell, is extremely proud of the two teams and will miss the graduating seniors.
